Solar Packages
At Rob the RV Guy, we have developed solar packages that help to define a solar system option for you concisely. Our Pre-Packaged Systems are defined below. Please keep in mind that the solar packages are a starting point only. We are pleased to talk with you about a fully customizable option either using the base of any of the packages below OR totally from scratch. While we still list 12 volt systems as options, we believe that in almost all cases, it will be in your best interest to upgrade to a 48 volt system. Check out the packages below, all of which are fully customizable and installed at your location. As your mobile RV Solar Install team, we look forward to working with you to get you on the road to freedom living totally off grid.
As you proceed, should you desire your RV Solar System install power your Air Conditioning units, it is mandatory your Air Conditioner(s) have a Soft Start or Easy Start device installed should your AC require one. This device can be installed by us as part of your install or you can have it installed before your RV install by your own RV Tech. We charge $400 per Soft Start install and this includes the Soft Start device and labor.
The “packages” you see below are ONLY a starting point. All of them can be expanded upon (or purchased to use as is). The package prices you see are for parts and estimated labor. Our labor installation rate is $200 per hour.
If any of these three systems do not work for you, please head on over and fill out our Solar Request which will help get us started on a totally custom Mobile RV Solar Install for you. You can get a full (simple) Solar System for as little as $5000.
12 Volt Systems: Odyssey Series

Entry Level: Kick off your off-grid adventure
Recommended for 20-30 foot Towable
This package is a good choice for a 30-amp rig with one or two travelers using the rig off-grid for short periods (longer for a solo traveler). It will provide adequate power to run all 12-volt components of your system including a 12-volt refrigerator.

Packages are all billed in 2 phases. 1st invoice is for parts and must be paid in full before parts are ordered and shipped. 2nd invoices will be for the labor portion and is billed the day your work is finalized. Payment for final invoices is expected the day services are complete.
