Rob the RV Guy Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: June 26, 2026
By engaging Rob the RV Guy for mobile RV repair and maintenance services, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting a service request, signing a service agreement, or making payment.
1. Services
Rob the RV Guy provides mobile RV repair and maintenance services, including but not limited to roof sealing, solar panel installations, AC servicing, tank cleaning, and general repairs. The scope of work, estimated costs, and timeline will be outlined in a service quote, invoice, or agreement provided prior to work commencement. All quotes are estimates and subject to change based on inspection findings. Rob the RV Guy will notify the Customer of any additional costs and obtain approval before proceeding.
2. Customer Responsibilities
Safe Access: The Customer must provide safe, unobstructed access to the RV, including a stable power source, adequate workspace, and a secure environment. Rob the RV Guy is not liable for delays, injuries, or damages due to unsafe or inaccessible conditions.
Accurate Information: The Customer agrees to provide complete and accurate information about the RV’s condition, history, and known issues to ensure proper service delivery.
Permits and Compliance: The Customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, approvals, or campground permissions required for the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
RV Condition: The Customer acknowledges that modifications or pre-existing issues may affect service outcomes and warranties. Rob the RV Guy is not responsible for issues arising from customer modifications or undisclosed conditions.
3. Booking Deposits and Payment Terms
Upfront Booking Deposit: To secure a specific service date on our calendar, the Customer is required to pay a non-refundable $200.00 upfront booking deposit via Square. This deposit explicitly covers our $100.00 Mobile Dispatch & Service Call Fee and our initial $100.00 30-Minute Diagnostic Labor Minimum. No slot on our calendar is officially locked in or guaranteed until this invoice is paid in full.
Application of Deposit: Upon successful arrival and on-site service, this $200.00 booking deposit will be fully credited and applied toward your final repair invoice. Additional parts, materials, and labor time accumulated beyond the first 30 minutes will be tallied on-site and added to the final balance.
Standard Project Payments: For larger, specialized jobs, an additional deposit of up to 50% of the remaining estimated cost may be required before extensive work begins, with the final remaining balance due immediately upon job completion.
Late Fees: Invoices unpaid after 7 days from completion or issuance may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law. All costs are in USD.
4. Liability
Limitation of Liability: Rob the RV Guy performs services with reasonable care and skill but is not liable for pre-existing defects, hidden issues, or damages not directly caused by our negligence. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rob the RV Guy is not responsible for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of use, property damage, or personal injury, unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
RV Modifications: The Customer acknowledges that RV modifications, including those performed by Rob the RV Guy, may void manufacturer warranties. Rob the RV Guy is not liable for warranty voids or damages resulting from such modifications.
Risk Acknowledgment: Services like roof sealing, solar installations, or tank cleaning may involve risks to existing RV systems. The Customer assumes responsibility for such risks unless damages are directly caused by Rob the RV Guy’s negligence.
5. Warranties
Workmanship Warranty: Rob the RV Guy warrants its services against defects in workmanship for 30 days from the date of service completion, provided the RV is used and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards. For specific services, such as awning repairs, the warranty is limited to 30 days due to the high risk of damage from improper conditions of usage. Upon completion, Rob the RV Guy certifies that the service was performed correctly, and all components (e.g., awnings, hoses, valves) were in proper working order at the time of service. Rob the RV Guy is not responsible for issues arising from conditions of usage, including but not limited to improper operation or failure to follow care instructions provided at service completion.
Parts Warranty: Parts are covered solely by manufacturer warranties. Rob the RV Guy does not provide additional warranties on materials.
Warranty Claims: Claims must be reported within the warranty period with proof of service (e.g., invoice) and photographic or written evidence of the issue. The Customer must return the RV to Rob the RV Guy’s designated service location for inspection to verify the issue is due to defective workmanship. Remedies are limited to repair or re-performance of the defective service. No refunds are offered under warranty unless required by law.
Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damages due to:
Conditions of usage, including but not limited to leaving awnings extended during winds exceeding 15 mph, rain, or other adverse weather conditions, or improper operation of RV components.
Improper maintenance or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines or care instructions provided by Rob the RV Guy (e.g., retracting awnings during adverse weather).
Customer modifications, pre-existing conditions, or normal wear and tear.
Environmental factors, including wind, storms, or other natural events.
Rob the RV Guy may use weather data or other evidence to evaluate claims and determine if damage is due to excluded causes.
Customer Responsibilities: Customers must comply with inspection requirements and provide evidence of the issue when reporting a claim. Failure to do so may void the warranty.
6. Cancellations, Weather, and Refunds
Strict 48-Hour Notice Required: Because our scheduling operates on a tight 4-week backlog, cancellations or requests to reschedule must be submitted a minimum of 48 business hours prior to your scheduled service slot.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to provide clear access to the RV at the scheduled arrival window, will result in the immediate forfeiture of your $200.00 booking deposit.
Adverse Weather Policy: Because our mobile technicians work outside in unsheltered conditions, severe PNW weather, hazardous storms, or heavy downpours may make a repair unsafe to execute. In these specific weather scenarios, Rob the RV Guy reserves the right to postpone and safely reschedule your appointment for our next available route opening. Weather-related reschedules are not eligible for a refund.
Our Abrupt Cancellation Guarantee: We highly value your time. In the rare event that we must cancel or reschedule your appointment abruptly due to an internal company emergency or scheduling conflict (excluding weather delays), you will receive an immediate, 100% full refund of your $200.00 booking deposit, or a priority makeup slot at your discretion.
Completed Work: No refunds are provided for diagnostic fees or services successfully completed as agreed. If a component is found to be obsolete, unfixable, or requires specialized parts to be ordered, the initial $200.00 deposit remains non-refundable as it covers travel and diagnostic troubleshooting time.
7. Termination of Services
Rob the RV Guy reserves the right to terminate services if:
The Customer fails to provide safe working conditions.
Payments are not received as agreed.
The Customer engages in abusive, threatening, or unsafe behavior. In such cases, the Customer remains liable for any costs incurred up to termination.
8. Intellectual Property
Any designs, plans, or recommendations provided by Rob the RV Guy (e.g., for solar installations) remain our intellectual property and may not be reproduced or shared without written consent.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or services will be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Okaloosa County, FL, governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The Customer agrees to waive any right to a jury trial. Rob the RV Guy reserves the right to comply with mandatory consumer protection laws in the state where services are performed.
10. Force Majeure
Except as otherwise provided in our Weather Policy, Rob the RV Guy is not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of God, or unexpected supply chain disruptions.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a service request through our website form, paying an upfront Square invoice, or signing a service agreement, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms may be updated periodically, and the latest version applies to all services provided after the update date.
12. Customer-Provided Parts
Rob the RV Guy will install, at the customer’s request, customer-provided parts. Rob the RV Guy will not be held responsible for any malfunction or damage caused by customer-provided parts to the customer or the customer’s RV in the future. No warranty or guarantee is provided on any service work done using customer-supplied parts.
