Reasons to Consider Solar
Energy Independence: Harness the power of the sun to free yourself from the limitations of shore power or noisy generators. With an RV solar system, you can camp anywhere with confidence.
Cost Savings: Over time, solar reduces reliance on fuel-powered generators and costly campground hookups, making it an economical choice for long-term travelers.
Eco-Friendly Travel: Embrace sustainable living by reducing your carbon footprint. Solar energy is clean, renewable, and perfect for eco-conscious RVers.
Increased Battery Life: A well-designed solar system helps maintain your RV batteries by providing a steady charge, reducing the risk of over-discharge and extending their lifespan.
Quiet, Hassle-Free Power: Enjoy the peace of nature without the constant hum of a generator. Solar power is silent and requires minimal maintenance once installed.
Boondocking Made Easy: Love camping off-grid? Solar power makes it easy to enjoy remote locations without worrying about running out of energy.
Custom Solutions: Every RV is different, and so are its power needs. As an expert in RV solar installations, I’ll design a system tailored to your lifestyle and rig.
Adds Resale Value: An RV equipped with a quality solar system is highly appealing to buyers, potentially increasing the resale value of your rig.

How Much Solar Do I really Need?
There is no one size fits all answer to this. The best way to determine how much solar you really need is by filling out our Energy Audit Report and reviewing it with us. Each person or family will have different desires and needs. Only you can make that determination based on how much of the comforts of home you desire. Want to run an Air Conditioner, or multiple Air Conditioners while off grid in the Summer? The needs required to do so are going to be significantly greater than should you not. The Energy Audit will send us in the right direction.
What will it Cost?
This is all determined by your wants and needs. A good starting place is to review our Solar Packages. Keep in mind, we can produce custom systems that will be less than the smallest package and more than the biggest package.
What does 12 volt vs 24 volt vs 48 volt mean?
In a nutshell, your solar system takes a low voltage current and converts it to a high voltage current like what is in a residential home (120 volt) to be used in your RV to run higher voltage items and appliances. 12 volt is still widely available but because 12 volt current needs to be multiplied 10 times to get the current to 120, it requires tremendous amounts of conversion. This requires much higher “gauge” wiring and also generates significant amounts of heat in the process. 24 volt systems cuts that conversion in 1/2 and now, more readily available 48 volt systems cut that in 1/2 again! 48 volt, in our view, is the way to go and costs only a fraction more than a 12 volt system sized to run your RV!
Where will you do my install?
A great question! We live full-time on the road and all of our installs are done "on the road". You can come to us at our current location, or we can come to you anywhere in the United States. Your equipment will be shipped directly to the install location for receipt.
Depending on the system, installs take between 2 to 14 full days. To make a mobile install happen, a few parameters must be met:
Travel & Lodging Rules:
Special Requests: Mileage and travel fees only apply if you request a dedicated trip to you outside our normal route.
Route Adjustments: You can avoid custom travel fees by booking one of our strictly limited route spots (only 1 or 2 available per drive) if we are already passing through your area.
On-Site Lodging: If we travel to you, hosting our rig on a piece of property you or a family member owns saves you money! We are fully off-grid capable and usually only need a tank of water upon arrival.
Park Lodging: If we must rent an RV space to complete your work, the park fee will be applied to your final invoice. You must verify with park management and receive written approval for us to perform work on your rig if we are doing the work in the park on your RV. The site must be within a 30-minute drive of your location and have electricity and water available.
Rig & Power Requirements during the Build:
Timeframe: We require one prep day on the front side and one wrap-up day on the back side of your build. (For example: a 3-day install requires the site for 5 total days).
Shore Power: Your rig must be hooked up to shore power and be fully functional for the installation.
Power Down: On the day we transfer your power system, the RV will be fully powered down with no electricity for the afternoon, occasionally extending into the next day.
Inhabitation: We strongly recommend you do not live in the RV while we work. If you must reside in it, it will add time to the install because we have to rebuild the system to a usable state for you every night.
